Preying locust

2768. If locust is caught alive by hand or by any other means, it is Halal to eat if after it dies. It is not necessary that the person catching it should be a Muslim and utter the name of Allah; but if a dead locust is in the hand of a Kafir and it is clear whether it was caught dead or alive, even if he says that it is caught alive, it is not Halal; except when a person is sure about it or two Adil persons approve it.

2769. To eat the locust which has not yet developed its wings and cannot fly is Haraam.
