The fifth condition

Men should stand in front of women.

905. Women should stand behind men while praying. It is better that her place of Sajdah placed a little back from where a man stands for Namaz. Hence, if a woman stands in front of a man, or in the same line, Namaz is void. And in this regard, there is no distinction between Mahram and non-Mahram, husband and wife. The same applies for obligatory and recommendatory Namaz.

906. If a woman stands in the same line or in front of a man and they start Namaz together, their Namaz is void; but if one starts earlier, his/her Namaz is in order, but the other one’s Namaz is void.

907. If there is wall, curtain or something else separating man and woman so that they do not see each other or there is a distance of 10 Zerah, or nearly 5 meters between them, Namaz is in order.

908. If a woman prays in the second floor, even if she is in front of or in the same line as a man, her Namaz is in order, even if the height is less than 10 Zerah or less than 5 meters.
