The second condition

The second condition is being stable.

893. The place for prayers should not have such a vigorous movement, which would make normal standing, Ruku or Sajdah impossible. In fact, it should not prevent the body from being at ease. But if one is forced to pray at such places, due to shortage of time, or any other reason, then one should try to remain still, and to maintain the direction of Qibla, as much as possible. And if the vehicles move away from the direction, he should return to Qibla.

894. Praying in transportation means, which do not cause excessive swaying to the body and one is at ease in them, such as ships, aircraft, and trains is permissible, provided that conditions of Namaz, such as direction of Qibla are observed.

895. Prayers offered on a heap of wheat, or barley, or any other similar thing, which cannot remain steady, is void. However, if the motion is negligible so that necessary conditions of Namaz and other conditions are observed, there is no hindrance.

896. If there is possibility of winds and rains or a big crowd in place which may cause Namaz to be interrupted, if one beings his Namaz is in order; but in place which staying there is Haraam (such as a place where the roof may fall or there is a danger of accident or stones falling from mountain) offering prayers is correct, but it is a Haraam situation. Also, if standing or sitting on something is Haraam, such as carpet or newspaper with the name of God or Qur’anic verses on it, offering prayers is not in order; but if one prays, his Namaz is acceptable, although there is a Haraam situation.

897. Presence of a man in a place that a non-Mahram woman is there and none else can enter that, is contrary to precaution and they should not pray there; but if one of them starts Namaz and the other enters there, it has no harm.

898. Offering prayers in a sinful gathering, such as a place where others are drinking wine, gambling or backbiting or playing tar and the like, is contrary to precaution.

899. As an obligatory precaution, offering obligatory Namaz in Ka’ba and over its roof is not permissible; but if there is no other alternative, it is in order.

900. Offering recommendatory Namaz in Ka’ba and over its roof is in order; but as a recommendation, inside Ka’ba, in front of each pillar, two Rak’ats should be offered.
